I was tidying up my studio the other day when I just came across this poem that I have had for a very long time. It is a relly beautiful poem and also a true one. I have not read it for ages and I felt really good when I found it. So I want to share it with all of you, students, parents, families, teachers , everyone.

It is worthy to reflect about what we do with our children, because they actually learn what they live and sometimes we are so busy doing other things that we forget about it. Maybe we don´t pay enough attention to our children. So read the poem, enjoy it and reflect a little bit upon what it is said. Perhaps we can do it better with our children than we do.

POEM by Dorothy Law Nolte

If a child lives with CRITICISM, he or she learns to CONDEMN.

If a child lives with HOSTILITY, he learns to FIGHT.

If a child lives with RIDICULE, she learns to BE SHY.

If a child lives with SHAME, he learns to FEEL GUILT.

If a child lives with TOLERANCE, she learns to BE PATIENT.

If a child lives with ENCOURAGEMENT, he learns CONFIDENCE.

If a child lives with PRAISE, she learns to HAVE FAITH.

If a child lives with  FAIRNESS, he learns JUSTICE.

If a child with SECURITY, she learns to APPRECIATE.

If a child lives with APPROVAL, he learns to LIKE THINGS.

If a child lives with ACCEPTANCE and FRIENDSHIP, he or she learns to FIND LOVE IN THE WORLD.

I also found a presentation -while I was surfing the Internet-of an extract of the poem which is really nice and it is in Spanish and English, read it and watch it .Let´s think about it.
