The Statue of Liberty or Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from people of France to the people of United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy.
It´s located in Liberty Island, New York City and it was made in Paris by the French sculptor Barthold, in colaboration with Gustave Eiffel

Symbols of peace

The peace dove flying with an olive branch in its beak is one of the most commonly featured symbols for the day. In Judaism, Christianity, and Islam a white dove is generally a sign for peace. The dove can also represent "hope for peace" or a peace offering from one person to another.

The Nobel Peace Prizes
According to Alfred Nobel's will, the Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses." The Peace Prize is awarded annually in Norway's capital city of Oslo, unlike the other Nobel Prizes, which are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden.
